The RF seal on the DCRFD is accomplished through a compression seal rather than the standard friction fit of the knife edge and finger stock. Not only does copper finger stock require regular thorough cleaning to function properly, but it can become misaligned, jeopardizing the RF seal. The compression seal is more effective, more durable, and requires less maintenance.
