Consolidation Receiving Points (CRP)
Consolidation Receiving Points (CRP) are specialized enclosures for the preparation and packing of equipment and materials (including construction materials) to be used in government buildings designated for overseas installations. Received, handled, inventoried, and packed by trusted United States citizens under the constant supervision of cleared personnel (with a minimum clearance of secret), all material and equipment are protected from tampering and compromise. Specific Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) procedures are implemented and documented throughout the process, from placing an order to final test and inspection. These capabilities are required of all contractors working on such construction projects. While these enclosures usually do not require radio frequency (RF) shielding, accreditation by the cognizant United States Government activity is a requirement.
